Manali: Beas Kund trek / 4 days
" I am kind of person with a thirst for adventure. And all the adventureous out there. Potala Adventurers should be the first choice. I have never been on a trek before and the experience was outstanding.
The service .. too good
The food .. awesome
The guide .. very friendly
words can not express my experience on this trek to Beas Kund organised by Potala Adventurers. I would choose Potala for very next trek. I would happily suggest the name of Potala Adventurers for all those who have a taste for adventure. Tenzin Ningbo- you rock man ".
From Kakinada. Andhra Pradesh. October 2009.

Manali: Beas Kund trek / 4 days
" My recent trip dt 16-19 Oct. to Beas Kund has surpassed all my ideas and expactations of a trek. Adventure should be given first name .. Tenzin. I am glad i found the right man for the job, awesome adventure, incredible experience. Ask the Kirlog i put at 4000mtrs. above MSL. It might kill you. Veerender our guide is VEER ( former SASE). He is wasting his time. He should be working with National Geographic, for his capability. I wont call a 5 star intercontinental only because there wasnt a sauce made the soup bowl. Way 2 tease the appetite Sheru Bhai. Loved the experience.
I recommend everyone what i had to feel and love life. Thanks ".
Dr. Solomon Saawan Pudi. Rangalaya Med. Collage. October 2009.

Hamta Valley trek / 5 days
" Thank you very much for organising this great trek. I really enjoyed it and it was fun. The entire crew was great and did a great job. Guide was Ravinder, who knows very much about the Himalayas. He took care of us and cook was Chandan, who did very well. I enjoyed every meal. I really can recommend Potala-Himalaya because they organise good trekking adventures for fair prices.
Thank you so much and see you next year ".
Mr. Phillip, Cologne. GERMANY 25th june 2009.

Hamta Circuit / 5 days trek
" When i first arrive in Manali, I knew i wanted to experiece a trek. The only question was which company. It is so difficult to put trust into an agency and hope they will come up with the goods. Potala delievered an excellent trek, Ningbo told us not to worry about the service provided and he was right. The service was first class. Our guide, cook, porter and horseman did an excellent job at keeping us fed, happy and safe. We were given the freedom to take different paths if we wanted, which meant we felt a good sense of control over our trek. The 4 campsite were in beautiful locations and for 3 of those nights we were the only camp which made it feel authentic.  I would definately trek again with Potala because it was the first ever Himalayan experience for me and everything i could have wished for and more.
Adam A. Birmingham . ENGLAND. 25th June 2009

Hamta Circuit / 5 days trek
To Potala Adventurers
" For the first time person like one coming to the Himalayas. With no apparent experience in high altitude trekking. My mind was little tensed, but once we arrived at Manali and met Mr. Tenzin Ningbo and he detailed us about the trip and when we met our guide our worries began to slow down.
I must sincerely thank the whole crew and Potala Adventurers for organising us such a beautiful trek. The whole crew was excellent.
The guide Mr. Tashi was superb. His care and his skills in the snow and mountain was a pleasure to watch.
The cook Mr. Kishan was also helpful and caring, preparing delicious food and watching us in each step.
The porter who gave us a good company and treated us like real guests was also enjoyable.
In brief we had a beautiful experience and i have made up my mind that I will be back for more in the Himalayas next time with Potala Adventurers

Spiti to Ladakh Mountain bike tour
Dear Prem, " we're finally back to italy and could read just now your emails first of all we would like to thank you for all the assistance for the trip. we loved very much the beautiful places we had the opportunity to visit. we now have great memories of India and intense feelings of our vacation in that beautiful country. we arrived two day earlier to leh because: in tzo kar we found rain and could not bike all the way from pang to tzo kar lake but had to use jeeps instead so we gained time. also in tzo morini the wheather was still very cold and rainy and could not spend the day exploring the region as scheduled. so that's why we arrived to leh two days in advance which we decided to spend visiting nubra valley.  as far as the organization of the trip , all went fine. we have a great time and thank all of you for all the effort and support. Best regards ".

Chandratal Trek ( The lake of Moon ) Lahoul, Himchal Pradesh, India "All in all we had a fantastic trek to Chandratal. The team was very helpful and the level of service was impressive. They did everything they could to make us feel comfortable, and they kept the enthusiasm through the hole trek. In particular we were impressed by the food that was served - some of the best we got in India :)Even though it was the monsoon period, we had great weather, only raining once for a few hours. Because of the clear weather we were able to enjoy the great landscapes surrounding us.   After the trek KG took us for a day of sightseeing around Manali. This  was a very nice gesture and we were really overwhelmed by his kindness and hospitality. Thank you very much for a great trek and a remarkable experience!! We Have already recommended Potala Adventures to our friends.Send our best wishes to Tanzin, Gian, Neema, Nirmal, his younger brother and KG.  Kind regards- Lars, Nashwan, Sachin and Soren, Denmark 18th-25th july 2003.

When you saw already mountains all over the world, you must go to Ladakh and ask for this guide ! " Paul Van Aelst, Belgium  july 2001

Lahaul Valley trek

Hamta pass, Lahoul valley 5 days. Prem was the guide. A good guide who knows everything on Himalayas and local life. Lobsang was the cooker. He is a good cooker. He can make everything with nothing. Thanks for all .

Chandratal lake

"Dear Potential trekkers, We  came back from a trek to Chandra Tal and overall it exceeded our expectations . Our guide Yeshi Lama and cook , cooked us by far the BEST meals and was always there to assist us from river crossing to trench digging in the pouping rain. We throughly enjoyed our time in the mountains and we recommend anyone to join a trek with Potala. Yeshi as a guide especially" .

Lavinia & Kathy Mok, Canada, Peter & Santos. Netherlands . Aug.99.

Darcha Lamayuru Across Zanskar Himalayas

" Overall, the trek went very well, spectacular scenery, fascinating gompas, a look at rural life. Karma cooked excellent food throughout, even when the supplies i.e. vegetable, ran low, as we were unable to buy supplies in Padum ( due to circumtances at Kargil ). He structured the trek, to avoid very long, difficult days, assisted with river crossing and was very helpful. Vilati is an excellent and efficient pony man. He treated the animals well when unwell and particularly impressed with getting over Shingo La so early in season (May). Also to Prem for assisting up until this stage over pass and for cleaning up campsite it was very good to see this attitude to the environment 5 sacks of other begs as rubbish at Zanskar Sumdo. Tsering did an excellent job thanks also for assistance with translating throughout .

Padum Trek

"We did the beautiful and very scenic trek from Darcha to Padum. It was not only good because of the scenery but especially of the good relationship we had with our horseman and our guide who was on the same time an excellent. We had many various dishes from India, China and local Zanskarian food. The whole trek was a big experience. Our guide gave us the posibility to get a deep look in the daily life of the Zanskarian people. We can just thank our trekking team for those wonderful days and want to recommend them highly" .

Tharas and Mike Shawk.

Hamta pass

We are very happy, we did this trek. The pass Hamta was really beautiful. The guide was friendly and helpful. The fifth day, without horses it maybe was altitude, heavy for them to carry our backpacks. But they did a great job. Thanks, and it was worth to do this trek.

To Tso Moriri via Parang La and Spiti

"Dear Traveller, we went on the most amazing 16 days trek from otherside of Rohtang Pass. Through Lahoul and Spiti and over Parang La and pass at 18.300 ft to the lake Tso Moriri and ending up at Pang on the Manali Leh road. It was a demanding but fabulous trek which I highly recommend to anyone who wants a real adventure. Our guide Prem and cook Lobsang were excellent, they took very good care of us and were great company as well. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a well organized and exciting trek" .

Pin Parvati Trek Spiti Valley, Himachal,India

"Dear Traveller, after a many months travelling and various trekking expeditions we finally found the perfect trek The Pin Parvati trek. 9 days of the most stunning scenery in this part of world. The scenery itself would have been enough to make this journey of a lifetime but the experience was heightened by the company of our porters. They leds from Potala Adventurers. Darcha Lamayuru Trek

"At first I had no intention of using a trekking agency to backpack from Darcha to Lamayuru. 20 minutes in the Potala Adventurers office changed my mind. They are by far the friendiest agency in Manali. Our on the trail they provide more of an experience then I could have hoped for. Urgen and crew are an exceptional choice of the villagers you pass through, especially if you want a chilled pitcher of Chang at the end of the day. All in all, highly recommended. The only choice if you ask me".

Ryan Damron, San Francisco, USA. 29.07.98

"I would like to recommend Potala Adventurers for organising an execellent trek over Hamta Pass. As I was on my own I was surprised to get such a good rate for my guide / cook. But if you are interested in taking in what surrounds you. And like to take your time to acclimatise then the Hampta pass trek is for you. Thanks again for Potala Adventurers for their excellent, advice and for their organisation".

Manali Dharamsala via Bara- Bangahal Trek. Himachal India

"Manali Bir, brilliant trek, fantastic scenery, rough and smooth. The horseman were too really funny guys and very good. The guide was good. Excellent food, camping and great service. Starting with the CHAI in bed at 7 am. Saw many GADDI shepherds and some interesting stone and tarpaulin huts. Interesting to go up high. The first pass and the thin air, two steps stop and get the breathing night. Slowly slowly and no problam. Bara Bangahal was friendly and an untypical Hindu village in its location and building. Days from any roads. I would throughly recommend the journey, it took us 12 days, including a day rest. Great journey. I would recommend anyone with tip top knees".

Christopher Harpender. England. 09-1997.

Darcha Padum Trek Zanskar Himalayas

"Tashi was always very cheerful and positive during the trek and handy with the beedies when they were needed. His cooking is very tasty and filling. Norbu was a great helper always working very hard and doing his best to please everyone. He was also very friendly and bouncy. Top marks to a great helper he should go far. I dont really know anything about horses but the horseman seemed to do their jobs well, although their singing needs improvement".

Christop, Britain, 6 August 1997

Darcha Padum Trek Zanskar Himalayas

"I really do recommend the Darcha Padum Trek provided by Potala Travels. We undertook this trek in August 97 ( 3 person ). In fact it is an extremly beautiful 7-9 days trek, depending on personal condition. I also strongly recommend Sonam Dawa as a Guide, who not only knows to take care about the tourist, but also to deal with the horseman. So without any doubt I recommend to go on a " trip " with Potala Adventurers, certainly also to any other location in Ladakh and Zanskar"
